First Kindergarten Bazaar experience !

I quit blogging bec. of my active membership/existence  to Facebook. But I finally decided to update this blog because of you Gina :).
I know you are protecting your safety so I understand if you are not comfortable to share your addy to some random peeps you just met on the internet:). I thought of sharing photos of my little boy to you and that maybe Branden and Noah would get some time to peek and check little Mirai :)

These photos were from the Kindergarten bazaar that we went to last Saturday. The kindergarten school is going to be  Mirai's school next yr. He is very excited to attend Yochien. He is very friendly and he loves people. He loves to learn and he is very outgoing :) Right now he attends 3 classes, one is the Pre-K Dorakids 1 hour once a week, swimming class 1 hr. once a wk. and 40 mins. English lesson once a week. Anyhow, here are his latest pictures :)
Mirai's first cotton candy bought at the bazaar

Mirai had a great time at the bazaar !

tried the Yochien ( Kindergarten ) straw hat for Summer :-) It's perfect size for him. L size that is.

just trying to strike a pose :D

tried the Yochien (Kindergarten ) winter hat. I think it looks good on him :)

awww..My little one growing like a weed..so fast :-(

Peace !! Mirai's favourite sign :D

can't get enough of the popcorn he bought at the bazaar.

The teacher at the Yochien invited us to come so we could take advantage of the USED Uniforms that the parents were selling to be used as "SPARE". Of course we would be purchasing the new sets of uniforms, but I think it's not bad to buy the USED stuffs esp. it's going to be useful as spare.. I didn't think twice when I saw the USED uniforms, I just grabbed what I can bec. they were selling like hotcakes. We had a wonderful time that day.xx

so this is what's keeping me busy !

It has been unbelievably hot and humid here in Japan. But it doesn't stop me from doing what I like to do lately and that is gardening. I always crave to go to my local store to check if there's new herbs that I could potentially grow in my growing garden. It also gives me great pleasure to see the beautiful summer flowers that they are selling this season. My little one seems to love the local store and he even remembers the salesperson and my favourite saleslady Mrs. Ooda or Ooda san. She's the nicest saleslady at Doit
( local  Do it yourself store ). I think she deserves a raise for being so wonderful to her customers :)

At any rate, I bought some herbs the other day and I got Sweet Marjoram, Oregano,Roman Chamomile,Chives,Garden Sage and Italian Parsley. Yay ! I am so happy to add these beautiful herbs to my garden. I got a new pot that cost me ¥980.00 here and I think that is around $11.00 according to my convertor :) It's my first time to purchase an expensive pot.. hahaha..  It is quite pricey for a pot in my opinion.. So I think I need to take care of that pot :) I also love the design and the colour of this pot. I think I'll be purchasing the other pots with a different design next time. I'm hooked !

So without further ado, here's what I have been doing ...

I used an old plastic pot and planted,Chives,Common thyme and Roman Chamomile.

Here's the pretty $11.00 pot :) I planted Garden Sage,Oregano and Italian Parsley here. Don't you love that cutesy litte thingy there ? Loves it !

These are my reminder and guide.

I also had the time and figured out what  to plant in this area  in the backyard. Those charming flowers are Begonia and Marigold. I chose the pink, white and red flower begonias. But still unsure, what to do,what to plant on the top of that brick.

Here they are up close. As you can see, I love garden ornaments too much :)

I also planted Salvia and Marigold in the front side of our house. These Salvias and Marigolds were ¥98.00 each.. Pretty cheap huh !

And then last but not the least.. Here are pictures of my little one who was very happy when he saw a surprise visitor. He's very curious of the cat and we have no idea about this cat's whereabouts. I think no one owns her though.Sadly, we cannot own a cat. The husband is allergic to one :(

To anyone here reading my blog. I hope it's not too hot where you are right now. Have a safe and lovely weekend !

I'm so happy I found Moringa Oleifera or Malunggay here in Japan. This is a very popular vegetable tree in the Philippines. It is exceptionally nutritious with a variety of potential uses...I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this at the flower shop today. The original price was around $20.00 but it was on sale for $7.00 yippee :)

Here's a very informative video about Moringa or Malunggay.

Here's a photo of my Lavender. I would really want to see them grow.I love Lavender scents and the flowers are so pretty. Did I plant this right ? I hope so :)

I also want to add this hanging pot that I found at the store last week. I planted some pretty flowers on it and hanged it in our gate. I think it adds a nice accent to the gate. I love these beautiful flowers.

And here are my updated photo of Basil,Parsley and Common thyme. I am not sure if I am doing the right thing of planting them individually. I need lots of information on how to grow herbs, how to use and how to harvest them as well. I ordered an herb book from Amazon and I really can't wait to receive it.I gain knowledge by browsing the web and some gardening forums as well. If anyone can help me out, please leave a comment. I know I still need to learn a lot of things on gardening and herbs.

My garden is growing

Here are my other plants and flowers that are blooming. I am so happy to see that the flowers I planted last week are blooming and some are starting to bloom. Makes me smile to see that they are happy :) The Casablanca or Lily bloomed last Sunday. Isn't she pretty ? I forgot the name of the other flowers here. It is hard to remember them esp. because they are labeled in Japanese whenever I purchase plants in the store.

My first post !

This is my first post. This is how it looked like before I planted flowers and herbs. The little boy is my 2 yr. old son and the doggie is my cutie patootie toy poodle Lucky :)

this is still how it looks like in the backyard.

And so last week, I went to Doit, a local DO IT yourself store that sells flowers and vegetable plants. I purchased quite a few and planted them in the pots. I bought
some new pots too and I'm glad that hubby kept our old pots from our old apartment and brought it to our new house.

So without further ado, here are my new pets :)

Apple Mint,Peppermint and Lemon Balm

Basil and Parsley

Red mini tomato

I cannot wait to use the herbs for my tea and for my everyday cooking and so with the red mini tomatos.
I'll add more photos tomorrow. The little one needs to go to bed.Good night zzzzz
